Reach out to your primary care physician, local hospital, mental health agency, school guidance counselor or other trusted professional in your area.

The Acadia Hospital
1-800-640-1211 (24 hours a day)
Call the hospital and ask for the Access Center. There are trained professionals available to evaluate a youth for possible admission. Acadia is a psychiatric and chemical dependency hospital in Bangor with both children and adolescent services.


Youth Crisis Stabilization Program
1-800-499-9130 (24 hours a day)
A program of Community Health and Counseling Services, the program is staffed by professionals trained to listen to a person in crisis and help the youth, family, or friend take the appropriate follow-up action.
