Acadia Hospital is committed in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, visitors and staff.  Our secured facility requires security checks at each entrance to insure there are no dangerous substances or items i.e. weapons, back-packs and sealed packages brought into hospital.  Items such as guns, knives, mace and pepper spray are all considered to be weapons.  Acadia Hospital would appreciate visitors and patients to leave these items at home or in their vehicles.
