Outpatient Psychotherapy for Eating Disorders
Acadia is pleased to be offering outpatient therapy services for individuals struggling with their eating habits, body image concerns, or those needing support with their recovery from an eating disorder. Our skilled clinical team consists of a therapist, nutritionist, psychiatrist and other medical staff. The team provides a comprehensive evaluation followed by a customized treatment plan and services focused on meeting the individual's needs.
Treatment options include: individual, family, and group therapies or a combination of these options. The group therapy component is for adults aged 18 and older and covers topics such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills, health and wellness, nutrition education, as well as identifying and managing triggers to disordered eating. Participants in all therapies may be expected to bring a meal to eat during supported meal times.
