Governon LePage Visits Acadia HospitalBangor, ME –At the invitation of Acadia Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer Anthony Ng, MD, Maine Governor Paul R. LePage met with Acadia representatives on March 18 at the hospital’s campus in Bangor.

The visit allowed Governor LePage to see the facility and learn more about Acadia’s innovative programming that addresses the mental health and addiction treatment needs of Maine citizens. Over the course of the hour-and-a-half meeting, Acadia officials also discussed barriers to more extensive services, which included funding challenges.

“I was pleased to meet the professionals at Acadia and learn about their good work with mental health services and treatment for drug addiction,” said Governor LePage. “These are complicated and difficult issues, and Acadia is a leader in providing treatment and therapy to Mainers struggling with them.”
